4.0 out of 5 stars Grenades - I don't like grenades 21 Feb 2007
Fun: 5.0 out of 5 stars
This is another one of those games that is a lot better than the press reviews said it was. OK the main campaign mode is pretty short but there is plenty of fun to be had in Skirmish mode or with the Multiplayer.

What I thought was really good about this game is the whole atmosphere that is generated by the game. Whether its clearing the streets of a town or attacking an airport you really get sucked in.

Some reviews have said the game is hard to control and once again as with some of my other reviews I really have to ask if the people writing the press reviews actually played the game. I didn't have any problems. I suppose the more games you play on the PSP the more you get used to the machine's limitations. But the PSPs shortcomings shouldn't put you off Medal of Honor Heroes. The graphics are good and although the main game only takes about ten hours to complete, those ten hours are well worth it and as I said above you'll keep coming back for more in the Skirmish mode or the Multiplayer section.

The only problem with this game are grenades. Not just grenades from the Germans but grenades thrown by your own troops, they have a nasty habit of blowing you up when you least expected it.

Buy or not to buy? A must have for your PSP collection. OK not as good as SOCOM 1 or 2 but still worth the money.

Enjoy

5.0 out of 5 stars Bloody Good 4 Mar 2007
Fun: 4.0 out of 5 stars
Got this for me b day, Missions are good but not as good as the old xbox due to the controls but still very addictive and hard to put down...

The cool bit is if you get a thrustmaster usb wifi key you can play missions (skermishes) with other people across the globe for free providing you have a b band connection to your p.c. i followed the game instructions for doing so and was killing me brothers across the world!!(in a nice way..) i was killed more than did any killing...!!!

4.0 out of 5 stars A Successful move to the psp 13 Jan 2007

Fun: 5.0 out of 5 stars
I bought medal of honour heroes with two different thoughts in my mind, is it going to be fantastic or are the controls going to destroy what could have been something great. I am pleased to say that EA has worked wonders with heroes. Its 10 times better than what i thought it would be. They have managed to keep the controls simple and easy to use but have not lost what made it such a hit on the ps2. With 15 missions i thought it would be a long game but sadly, i found myself watching the credit role after a day, and this is one of two faults with game, the other being the lack of imagination in some of the missions. I found myself on several occasions having to basically play capture the flag. But on one occasion this was the most enjoyable mission. Having to kill 200 nazis before enforcements arrive and trying to hold 3 different points whilst hoards of germans charge at you.

The graphics of this game are some of the best i have ever seen on psp. The graphics are only a tad different to those on ps2(excluding MOH: Frontline which had the best graphics and gameplay ever seen on ps2.)

Another great thing on heroes was the skirmish mode. Basically its an all against all deathmatch. You can choose how many AI opponents to fight, how long the game runs for,the varous levels from campaign mode and even the different outfits unlocked in campaign mode(which include some rather comical outfits).

The overall shortness of the game is why i gave it only 4 stars, but its still a quality game.

For those of you who enjoy FPS games this will be utter joy, for long MOH fans you will also love it and those who have never played it give it a try its such good fun.

3.0 out of 5 stars Short and linear but very addictive 4 Jun 2007
By i wrote this VINE™ VOICE
Fun: 4.0 out of 5 stars
I had a blast with this game, it really is a lot of fun. But it has some pretty glaring problems, espeically in single player. Here is my list of gripes:

The campaign mode is far to short. There are a feast of unlockable extras if you go back and earn 'gold medal' status on every missions, but these are just in game 'medals' and some extra uniforms to dress your avatar in during multi player games; nothing that adds any extra play value. Goldeneye had unlockable levels and that was 10 years ago for goodness sake! Moan moan.

The single player missions are very repetitive; walk from point a to point b, capture the flag / blow up an object / collect and item, kill all the nazi's and repeat.

The in game radar means you always know where to find the next objective and this simplifies things to much for my liking. There is still some point in exploring the levels as there are hidden weapons and health boosting items, but it's mostly pretty redundant.

As another reviewr states, the controls are fine once you find a setting that suits you. But the analog nub isn't very sensetive which caused me a few problems aiming sniper weapons.

My worst control issue was the duel purpose buttons. You press the 'use button' quickly to activate explosives or pick up a gun, you hold the same button down to use a medical kit - I can't tell you how many times my game ended in a shower of bullets when I picked up a guninstead of restoring health, this was a real pain!

Lastly the game suffers from two of the main PSP problems; the loading times and slow down can get pretty silly.

But..... I still fell in love with this game (and fell in love with the PSP too as this is the first game I have bought for it).
