3.0 out of 5 stars Dissapointing but thrillingly good 4 Nov 2010
    Access Method:Box|Platform for Display:PlayStation3|Edition:Limited
Fun: 3.0 out of 5 stars
I too thought I was halfway through the game and getting engrossed and then it ended, I reserved the Tier 1 edition at Game and was told it had extras, so I thought maybe I missed something.

I don't make a habbit of buying games on release and usually wait many many months later, but this seemed special, I have many games far cheaper that seem to go on for so long and give you something for your money.

Graphics and sounds were great and as true to life as you can get, some lovely destination maps with views, some bits of hands on with vehicles too and some sniping, the online game was terribly difficult (well I am a 40s male) but was nothing like Modern War 2 online and not sure anything will be.

Overall I give it a 3 out of 5 for the graphics and gameplay and weapons.

3.0 out of 5 stars Solid but nothing new... 3 Dec 2010
    By PS3 Fan

Fun: 4.0 out of 5 stars
    Single Player Campaign:

I thought that the single player experience in Medal of Honor is a solid one. The graphics are impressive, the gameplay meets and in some cases exceeds the type of gameplay found in Call of Duty, having both very intense and tactical situations. Having said this, it does have some draw backs. The multiple characters you play with in the missions feel very clinical and underdeveloped. At no point does the game try to make the characters likeable or give them any kind of personality, the same applies to the AI you play with although they do seem to feature some kind of personality. The story line is almost non existant as well. As far as I could make out it was basically an operation in Afghanistan that goes bad half way through, that is pretty much it.

    Online Multiplayer:

I actually enjoyed the multiplayer more than the single player. Again it was a solid effort on Dice's part. It features various game modes that you would expect to find in an online FPS including Team DM, Domination and Sabotage. The gameplay is always intense and, for a period of time, does get you hooked in wanting to play more of it. Unfortunately this does not have the same longevity that perhaps recent COD games may have. This is due to limited weapons, maps and to some extent game modes. It does have a certain appeal to it though as it is similar to COD, but not COD. I only say this because personally I have grown bored of the COD franchise for the time being.

    The Verdict:

This is by no means a poor game as I have spent a decent amount of time playing the various different aspects of the game and have had a lot of fun playing it.

As close to the real thing as you can get without sand in your eyes!!
Fantastic well thought out gameplay without the overlong cut scenes, online is even better, once again MOH does not disapoint.

I'm 47 and still enjoy this sort of thing

3.0 out of 5 stars Medal of Honour - Where's the medals??? 27 Oct 2010
    By Becks

Where to begin, not being a FPS geek but generally having been a fan of this game since it first began many moons ago, I found I was rather disappointed with this game.
Yes the graphics and sound are all fantastic but somehow this doesn't make up for the lack of plot, the inability to freely roam each area and the fact that as single player it was all over in approximately 4 hours.
Most importantly for me the biggest let down was the inability to collect medals which was a big part of all its predecessors game play.
The best thing about this game for me is that it came with a full copy of MOH frontline.
My advice - rent it as its just not worth the money

    2.0 out of 5 stars Meh... 26 Oct 2010

First impressions were brilliant, stunning graphics good dialogue and gameplay to match the Call of Duty series.

Campaign; started off very well, seemed alot of fun but for some reason half way through the storyline completely changes and the whole game basically becomes a rescue mission. Also very short, I completed it in about 4 hours in medium difficulty on the first day. After the 3rd day I had also completed it in hard.

Multiplayer/Online; again started off very well for all the same reasons. However, it becomes very boring very quickly. There is a serious lack of maps, all of which seem to small to me? I was hoping for maps similar to Bad Company 2... Also there doesn't seem to be many weapons which was a surprise, however the customisation is very creditable. It's also worth mentioning that online is absolutely dominated by snipers, so if you're more of a "run around shooting everything" kind of person this'll probably just frustrate you.

Due to the lack of length in the campaign, and the repetativeness of online, the game was disapointing to say the least... It holds nothing to the original Medal of Honor Allied Assault. I'm also sure as soon as Call of Dury; Black Ops is realeased the Medal of Honor series will be forgotten once again...

3.0 out of 5 stars Short.. too short 24 Oct 2010
    Access Method:Box|Platform for Display:PlayStation3|Edition:Limited
Fun: 4.0 out of 5 stars
It took me nearly 5 hours to complete the campaign mode, which is very veryyyyyyy short.... when you bought it 40. Overall quality is quiet good though, good graphics, action and immersion... Multiplayer mode is not as good as MW2... Had a good time playing this game but still disappointed..

I'm still struggling to activate the Online Pass... does it even work ??
