This is the second time I have purchased this item as we have a lot of little boys and girls come to stay with us (lots of birthdys and christmas's), I bought it for a 3 year old little boy last year and he thought it was great fun, although he did need a bit of help, but got on well with the chumpy screw driver supplied in the pack, have just purchased it for a 6 year old, and he also finds it great fun seeing what he can make with the wheels. It has held their concentration they feel very proud of themselves when they make something themselves that actually works.

I had somthing similar bought for my son's 4th birthday so found this on amazon when invited to a party. It made a nice substantial present. Also good that it made 2 different models (my son's one was two cars that were pretty similar). It does need quite a lot of help for this age range but my son was very happy constructing, and wanted this one too when it arrived. Would buy again.

I bought this for my 3 1/2 year old son to build with a grown up. He is easily able to find the pieces we need at each stage and enjoys using the screwdiver to do up the bolts. He loves the fact that he can build something and then play with it afterwards. My 6 year old daughter also enjoys both building and playing with it, and can follow the instructions with only a little help. A great value toy that will grow with him, and keep my little man busy for several years!
