I bought this for my 4 year old. He loves making things and was eager to get it put together. We did put it together over a couple of days. When I say we I think mainly me. He was able to use the tools but there were a lot of fiddly parts to it and altough he tried to understand the very simple instructions he didn't always get it so there was some frustration. However, it is extremely sturdy and I would probably raise the age slightly from 4+ to maybe 5 + but I am sure we will have a go at making the other models. None of what I have said takes away the fact that this is extremely child friendly and educationally a very good toy.

Bought this for my 4 year old daughter and its WAY too complicated for her, but that said there was many painstaking hours with Daddy and she was really impressed when she came down in the morning and Daddy had made her something new the next day. Definitely needs an adult to help with this, very durable, some small parts like the eyes can drop out quite easily but all in all very happy with the purchase.
