Product Description

" 'Say farewell to your siblings, Oberoid scum!' roared Thogron Throatbiter as he leapt from his rocky perch. Somewhere in the background he heard the stage manager inhale sharply... "

Imagine unstoppable barbarian armies that discover spaceflight. After they have conquered every inhabited planet in their system, what then? They take their pantheon of violence, pillage, and destruction to the stars, of course. But one day, their meandering mayhem must reach its inevitable conclusion.

Take the foreign policy approach of Conan the Barbarian, mix with the insanity of Warhammer 40k, and add a dash of Brian Blessed on one of his louder days; now you have an idea of what lies in store for you in the Meandering Mayhem of Thogron Throatbiter.

This Greyhart Press eBook is a short story, a perfect length to enjoy on your lunch break, or to complement a drink in your favorite coffee house.

this is definetely my kind of story, fast-paced, sarcastically funny and based on Brian Blessed at his most bombastic self with a pastiche of Joe Haldemans "the forever war". Well written and easy to read i`ll be looking for more by this author.

Thogron Throatbiter is a Melai warror. He only lives to fight and in that respect he has a bit of a problem. The Melai have already conquered all the nearby civilisations and there is no one left to fight! His solution? Conquer the rest of the Universe of course! From the totally over the top names of the main characters, to the unexpected effects of relativity on the planet they return to in not exactly triumph, this short science fiction story has its tongue firmly in its cheek.

Overall: 4 stars - I was drawn to this story by the unusual title and I found a worthwhile 20 minute or so read that has me interested enough in the author to search out some of his other works.

Short stories must the most difficult of all books to write, but Tim C Taylor ( note the capital C in the name!), has done well with this book.
An interesting sci-fi yarn with a touch of humour that kept me interested until it's unexpected end.
Well worth the price, (OK I know it's free), but I will certainly be on the lookout for more of Mr Tim "Cee" Taylors books.
