If you have watched the original mean girls , chances are you wont like this. The acting is poor and all the main girls are from disney channel! These "plastics" suck. The original plastics would eat them alive. All the "mean" things they do are childish and silly and i was completely bored outta my mind watching this! The ending is also a let down.Thats 2 hours of my life wasted!I am warning you if you have seen and liked the first mean girls avoid this like the plauge!

This is not a sequel but a remake of the original. As a sequel goes, it rates up there with Caddy Shack II. The movie starts out with some smart narration as people are compared to the cars that they drive. The message of the story is mixed and lost. At one point it was a High School Animal Farm where the non-plastics were as bad as the plastics, and at other times it was about friendship.

The movie starts out at about 4 stars and digresses to no stars during a female football game that made no sense. Rated PG-13, and that is about the age of the audience this film was designed. Three stars is generous, but I am old and the girls are cute. BTW putting sugar in a gas tank is not just mean but is criminal activity.

A lot of people don't like this film because they are comparing it to the original. Yes, of course the original has gained a cult, legendary status and cult following. Yes, the original has actresses in it that are more famous, more experienced and probably better at acting, but if you are going to compare it to a film that simply cannot be copied, then of course this will seem like a bad film by comparison. The problem is, if they had copied the original too closely, people would have complained that it was too similar and just a blatant money-spinning copy of the original, so they can't win.

OK, my opinion:
The film in it's own right is OK. I think Maiara Walsh who plays the lead mean girl "Mandi Weatherley" does a great job. I think Mandi Weatherley is as cunningly and sneakily mean as the mean girls in the first film. She does it with a smile that is both pretty and nice, but scary too! You know she means business and you know she is mean, but that smile really gets you! I don't think they could have picked a better actress for that particular role. She is pretty too which is important for this role. The second mean girl in the trio "Hope Plotkin" is played by Nicole Gale Anderson. I think she is not pretty enough to be a main character in the trio of a Mean Girls movie. If that's harsh - sorry, whatever! I'm speaking the truth. "Chastity Meyer" is the 3rd girl in the Mean Girls trio, played by Claire Holt. She is very pretty and looks not a million miles away from Rachel McAdams. I think her character is played a little too dumb! In real life (watch the special features) Claire is absolutely gorgeous!
Meaghan Martin plays the main good character of the film and is the lead role as "Jo Mitchell".

The delivery was great however this product just shows how the film industry is full of money pinching douchebags. Turns out a mean girls movie just isn't the same with out a fat gay guy, a gothic lesbian and a drug addicted prostitute playing the main role...

The first Mean Girls is now a classic, with some of the cast going on to be A list Actresses. This has none of the same wit, humour or intelligence, it's quite babyish. The lead actress has none of the charm of Lindsay Lohan and her performance is stale. The plastics are a pathetic bunch. Even Tim Meadows(Principal Duvall)struggles with a terrible script.I wish they hadn't bothered really if they can't show it any respect. Don't waste your money buying this on Blu ray, it just isn't worth it, get the dvd if you really must see it. The girl who plays Abbey is the best thing about this loser of a film.

I absulutly loved mean girls 1 but I didn't like this! I was bitterly disappointed! Poor acting. Very poor acting. It wasn't funny. It had the same pranks as the first.

It's just the same film as the first with different actors. If there wasn't a first one, I suppose it would be ok but I was expecting it to be as good as the first there fore it was a real let down!

😣😔😣😞😒😫😨😰😥😭😢😓

Sometimes people say there should never be a sequel made. They were right. The first film is a gem. You get the sequels where you maybe have one or two of the original cast members. A straight to dvd effort. The story seemed lame. I stopped watching after the date scene. This is one to avoid.

Didnt like this follow up at all not a patch on the first one, its boring and in no way funny as the first one and only one actor from the first one in it. Don't bother watch something else.
