This book had so much definition, and reading it you could really put yourself in the shoes of the singer as he braced his own personal fears and emotions in the quest to define himself as an individual, coming out as gay is not easy and in this precious account Ricky Martin details his struggles but most importantly his un conditional love he has for his two twin boys, the statement I am what i am has never meant so much, he emerged as a world star but still ever since coming out he has created a new fan base and made relationships with other fellow homosexuals, this book is sensational and all in all Ricky provides the reader with an insight into his life and he doesen't leave any stone un turned, A must read for all no matter what your sexuality is.

This book - Ricky Martin's biography is ok.It borders on the maudlin,sentimental and emotional most of the time but thats ok hey were all human.The details Ricky gives as to his music life and performances lack the viscerality and performativity of his living persona(ie. His writing doesnt evoke his on stage character)and the reader doesnt get much of the insight into his energy and flamboyancy.He talks alot about spirituality and how it affects him,he mentions trips to India and that he is a family man.What we really get is an insight into a man struggling but(to me)he somehow always coming out on top 9 times outta 10 out of those struggles.Ricky emerges as a strong character in a mileau of heteronormativity-His acceptance of his homosexuality and humanitarian work is admirable and the his love for his two sons is so too.I personally expected more that what I read,I got bored at times.Go on Wikipedia and you'll find out just as much.Sorry Ricky-

This is a reallly good book! And l love it although I am not gay, but though this book, I saw a fantastic Ricky and a father!
