About the Author
Ekaterina Trukhan was born and grew up in Russia, and has loved to draw for as long as she can remember. She moved to London to study a degree in Illustration at Camberwell College of Arts. While studying she came second in the Macmillan Prize in both 2009 and 2010. The wonderfully charming ME AND MY CAT is Ekaterina's debut picture book, and it was inspired by her own cat, Moris. Ekaterina lives with her husband in South East London, which she likes very much, although she misses Moris, who enjoys his life in Russia.

I bought this book as a gift for a friend's daughter's birthday and flicked through it before I wrapped it up to check it was suitable. It's a really charming book, full of fabulously brightly coloured and simple illustrations. It's a lovely tale about the friendship between a girl and her cat, sometimes stating how they are similar and sometimes stating how they are different. Any children who have a cat would love this book.

My kid loves the short stories and pictures in the book, its a good book for bedtime reading as the stories not to long so dont take to much time.
