Absolutely awesome! Stunning set of headphones, I don't need to comment on the quality just check around for other reviews they will make you appreciate just how well regarded they are. Closed back, aluminium housing, lightweight, very comfortable, and incredible sound. Extremely well made, seems like they will never break.
The ear pads are supposedly prone to wear out, much like my other pair of Sony headphones I imagine. Replace with a set of beyerdynamic ones, as they are apparently much better. I can't see mine wearing out for years though! They fold up really well which was a bonus; however the coiled cord could be longer. So I purchased a very high quality Philips headphone extension which means the cord drapes across my desk and does not weigh the headphones down. I really am picking here- they are near as perfect as possible!
I think they also look awesome, not too bulky, a little bit 80's and very stylish. Get them while you can pretty soon there will be none left around to buy!
PS look out for Dr Frasier Crane sporting a pair next time you watch early morning TV ; )

I researched on headphones and decided to take a chance on the Sony MDR V6. I have a pair of huge wireless Sennheisser HDR 140 which are good but the Sony is better by a mile. I needed a pair to use when I am on the tube so that I can listen to music whilst reading my e-book. I did not want headphones that are ridiculously big, heavy or likely to disturb other commuters on the train. The Sony MDR V6 headphones are excellent. They are not the cheapest but sound production is clear and external noise suppressed. I am extremely happy having tried them on the ipod, Kindle, laptop and PC and can confidently say that they are superb. The cord is long which gives the user more flexibility of plugging them onto the telly and sitting well back to savour high quality sound. The only problem is the Royal Mail took their time to deliver the product which is very annoying. I recommend this product to anyone who wants portable quality headphones.

I wanted a pair of decent headphones mainly for home use to replace the lost earphones that came with my Sony Walkman, and I am very pleased with these. The definition is so good that you really do notice the difference in sound quality when playing music mp3's that have a low bit-rate. At first I thought the phones lacked a bit in the mid-range (which perhaps they did compared with the Sennheiser CX300 earphones I had been using), and compensated for this by adjusting the graphic EQ on the Walkman. But now I'm used to the sound I've gone back to listening on neutral EQ. The base if full and soft but clear, and not so dominant that it crowds out the rest. The phones are comfortable and seem robust, block out exterior sound well, and the telephone-style coiled lead is creditably tangle-free if a bit bulky for use with the Walkman. The Walkman is well able to produce enough volume for them though. Highly recommended.

Great quality headphones for the price

Nice Headphones
I used to use these headphones for listening to music. they are lightweight and have a very clear sound. Not pro headphones but good for everyday listening.
