I bought a tube of this stuff to, initially, repair the rubber sole on an old pair of leather boots. As it turned out the boots themselves were beyond it but I kept the Freesole (in the freezer, as it says on the instructions) for future use. I have subsequently used it to repair - successfully - a pair of shoes, a rip in the seat of a motorbike and a split in a pair of expensive rubber wellies.
What this stuff can repair is as impressive as the repairs themselves. This stuff is amazingly tough, so much so that there is a tendency to begin with to apply too much. Just a small dab smoothed over with a wet finger is usually all that is needed.
Two items every household should have are a can of WD40 and a tube of Freesole!
One word of warning though: if you don't clean the nozzle properly and seal the tube well the resulting plug is almost impossible to remove. It will laugh at your pathetic efforts to remove it.
