At first glance this book may appear to be on the expensive side. However, this is the definitive listing of vintage camera's, full descriptive information and estimated price guide. It is a must for both collectors and dealers alike. An asset to any library and well worth every penny. The vintage camera bible! Also it is difficult to get hold of in the UK, so well done Amazon!

An invaluable reference book for collectors or dealers. The information given is concise and infomative.I have not found any other reference book that favourably compares with this.Don't let the price put you off, it's well worth the money.

Jim McKeown's books are the most comprehensive sources of accurate information on cameras in the world. Period. Other books may give more information on specific cameras, but if you are to have but one source to refer to,choose McKeown. He will never disappoint you.
Another wonderful camera expert and writer (they don't always go together) is Ivor Matanle. His two books are treasures. But if you want facts, go with McKeown. You will return over and over to his book. Speaking face to face with him is most rewarding. You realize you are learning from one of the world authorities.
Wonderful pictures, camera values (prices) rarity,etc. This book contains cameras even experts haven't heard about. But McKeown is the expert of experts, and you will keep this large,heavy, over 900 page book near just for the fun of reading it. Am I enthused? Yes! I have bought his books since the 4th edition in 1983-84, and always been pleased.
A lengthy review? Yes, but this book deserves much praise!

If you collect cameras this is a very important reference tool. The pictures and descriptions and the given values are the best help available. I have been using this book since it was smaller than the Reader's Digest and now it has over 10,000 entries including movie and non-cameras.

Obviously, I haven't read this latest edition of the price guide since it won't be available until April. I have purchased two previous editions and they were worth the money. I look forward to the release of the latest edition. Every camera collector should have this price guide. Unlike Lind's List Camera Price Guide and Master Data Catalog, this book gives good information and pictures to help you identify cameras and grow in knowledge. I haven't utilized my Lind's book, but I take my McKeown's book on every collecting expedition.
