I bought this hedge trimmer to cut a hedge about 50 yards long, this usually takes me about 2 hours with my old electric trimmer. I have just cut the hedge with my new trimmer and it took me less than thirty minites and it looks fantastic. It is easy to start and works really well. The only downside that I can think of is that you have to keep turning the machine off to check the fuel as it does not have a see through tank. For the money, this machine is hard to beat.

not worth the money 26 July 2008
    By A. GUNN
I have alwyas trusted McCulloch and when it works this is fine, but there are too many plastic parts that break off and bolts that come loose inside the machine. I have had the machine for 3 years and it has been back to be repaired twice and the repairs have now cost more than the cost when I bought it. It is now terminal as the whole engine housing has snapped off from the cutting mechanism and the plastic base plate that sheared off will cost another £25 plus labour plus VAT. I should've spent more and bought a more robust model from another manufacturer.
