I bought this Chainsaw when it was on 'special offer' paid 105 pounds for it and its been great. Starting is easy (half choke is all that is needed) and even trees of 12" diameter or so can easily be dispatched and turned into firewood.
For years I have soldiered on with a bowsaw, and still cannot believe the speed with which I can amass a huge pile of firewood with this chainsaw, I just wish id bought it years ago.
I already had some two stroke oil but one thing I would mention is the fact they dont provide a small quantity of chain oil with the saw, so it isnt as it says on the description 'ready to go, just add fuel' because if you do you'll very soon wear the chain and bar prematurely. I had a sixty mile drive to get chain oil first before I could use the saw so maybe something to bear in mind when buying, add some chain oil to the order.....

Well after my first real day gathering winter fuel I have to say the chainsaw seem to be very good value for money. Always starts if you follow the instructions, the chain did stretch quite a lot but seems to settle down and I would imagine that a decent after market one would fair better. The saw seemed quite happy chomping through an oak trunk about 600mm in diameter (Two cuts one from each sides).Fuel consumption is impressive and an hours pretty constant use didn`t quite empty the small tank. My only grumble is that when splitting the logs later my splitting wedge pinged out and cracked the plastic cover on the top of the chainsaw, so much for Mcullochs` impact resistant plastic.
A bargain at the price but don`t buy one and expect a Sthil.

I bought this chainsaw via amazon over 2 years ago, and it's still going strong. Saw starts first time, everytime. Have never had a problem with it yet and the only thing that has had to be replaced has been the air filter.

Still using the same chain and bar that came with the chainsaw, although I have been told from the last time it was in for a servicing it could do with a new chain (sharpening the chain doesn't keep it going forever but does help with it's lifespan).

Saw is supposed to get a service for every 10 hours of continual use, this is more for your safety and keeping to chainsaw in tip-top shape.

I would of gave this chainsaw 5 stars, but the chain oil leaks when the chainsaw is idling. Have to say though this doesn't happen when the saw is in use ONLY when it is idling.

If your only using this saw for small jobs or occasional use then I'd have to recommend it, but for any bigger jobs then I'd suggest spending that bit more and buy something else.
