I have just taken delivery of my new mower, the shipping company had not tightened the oil filler cap so there was oil all over the inside of the box and the mower. The assembly instructions in common with most pictorial instructions these days were very poor, some of the diagrams were very misleading. That's the bad news and apart from that I am very pleased with the mower. The shroud surrounding the cutting blade is painted mild steel and I would strongly urge others to do as I did and to give both surfaces a coating of waxoyl before first use, this will prolong the life of the machine. As other reviewers have said the Briggs and Stratton engine started on the very first pull and continued to do so even when hot. Unlike mowers of 40 years ago where you just left the engine to idle whilst you emptied the grass box this one is designed to stop whenever you take your hands off the yellow grab handle so you will do a lot of starting of the engine. Another feature I had seen not seen before is a pigtail spiral located half way up the handlebars for retaining the starter cord. I was puzzled about this feature until I read that the kickback from the starter can cause the cord to be retracted faster than you can let go and could result in injury so I guess that this is intended to prevent this sort of injury. It could also be that the pigtail is there to prevent you from having to lean too far over to grab the starter when you want to restart which as I said will be quite frequent. The handlebars are quite high and that might be a problem for anyone shorter than about 5' 6". It's also a fairly powerful mower which might not suit someone of slight build. Despite the mower being a rotary type it does leave stripes which is nice and the hose connection for cleaning is very handy. All in all I'm very pleased

This is an excellent mower easily assembled and covers the area quickly. Being power driven is a great help, because we have a large area to cover. Can recommend this product

Bought this mower 30/06/2012 had trouble from the start, the mower will lock it's back wheels when trying to pull backwards away from walls trees etc. The paint has peeled off in large strips from the underside, and has started rusting badly,
I have always cleaned it properly every time I used it!
