Your McCulloch M40-450C comes equipped with a Briggs & Stratton 148cc Engine and a deep dome steel deck which provides good collection performance. Height of cut adjustments for different mowing conditions are made easy and the large capacity collection box means less emptying.

The handles on your McCulloch M40-450C fold down, which makes for easy storage. The 40 cm metal blade is housed in a long lasting steel deck and suited to small to medium sized lawns. 5 heights of cut (between 25 - 80mm) are adjustable on each wheel, make achieving your preferred grass height quickly and easily. Pros
The product was delivered quickly and was pretty easy to assemble. The petrol and oil filler tubes are easily accessible and it started first time. It's quite light so easy to push. The grass collection bag is a good size so does not need frequent emptying.
Cons
For me at 5'4" the pushing handles are a little high and are not adjustable but having said that I still found it quite easy to handle. The opening for the grass box is a bit narrow compared to the body of it so making emptying a full bag a bit of a tussle. This would be worse if tne grass was wet.

Overall though for a small garden its fine.

I was very happy when this mower arrived, it seems well made, was very easy to put together and simple to operate. It was useful to have a mower with adjustable cut heights for the first crop of the year, and it made taming the lawns easy. Having used it happily on two occasions without incident on our reasonably sized lawn I was surprised on the third occasion when it started to splutter as if starved of fuel, especially as the tank was over half full. On the forth use the mower spluttered and stopped, as it was on a slope I thought the low fuel level may have been an issue so filled the tank and pulled. After more tugs than a sixth form dorm t night the mower still hadnt started and despite many attempts since its engine lies dormant.
I have attempted to contact the manufacturer but they seem to be as reliable as the equipment they badge.
Better to buy a goat.

Mower didn't work. Followed the instructions fully then tried starting it and it wouldn't start after numerous pulls of the chord. Tried again, no joy. After calling the helpline they suggested taking it to the nearest stockist who was 45 mins away. I returned the mower and have just been refunded. Due to this experience I bought an electric mower.

Very impressed by the product.
When it arrived and I opened the box it look quite daunting to make up but thanks to easy instructions and ease of installing it was made simple.
My son loves it and has given it a name of bumble bee due to its colour and his love of the transformers film. Since it arrived the wife hasn't had to cut the grass once as its extremely easy for a 10 year old to use. Easy start and easy controls make it such a user friendly mower.

This is a robust and well finished product. The powerful engine is surprisingly quiet and copes with long, dense grass. Assembly is easy - the mower was cutting 30 minutes after coming out of the box.
