Scadinavian Edition, PAL/Region 2 Blu-Ray + DVD 1080p High Definition Widescreen DTS-HD Master Audio: Subtitles: Danish, Finnish, Norwegian, Swedish. Audio: English. No English Subtitles. War is Addictive! Christopher Walken (The Deer Hunter, King of New York) is Robert Mcbain... An ordinary steel worker with an extraordinary past. 18 years ago, in the sweltering heat of the Vietnamese jungle, he was a prisoner of war. Rescued by a future Columbian rebel, he is now held to a sacred vow, sworn over a torn $100 bill. Now McBain must help to liberate Central America and decimate its evil drug trade by bringing together his old comrades from Nam. Together with the downtrodden peasants of Columbia, it s up to them to crush the military junta, bring down El Presidente and give the country back to the people while blowing up as many tanks, planes and people as possible. From director James Glickenhaus, director of such video store exploitation action classics as The Exterminator and Shakedown, comes a movie that ticks every macho box in the guns n glory movie guide and delivers a body count that even Rambo would be proud of.

5.0 out of 5 stars Quality Revenge Thriller 2 Feb 2005

Format:DVD
An exquisite film mainly because of the inclusion of Colombian Druglords and the revenge-based plot that keeps you at the edge of your seat throughout.

One of Christopher Walken's least known films is also perhaps the Greatest Film Of All Time.

3.0 out of 5 stars A good start to a classic action series... 17 Nov 2011
Format:DVD
Viewers won over by Rainier Wolfcastle's turn in classic sequels "McBain II: You Have the Right to Remain Dead", "McBain IV: Fatal Discharge", and "McBain: Let's Get Silly" may be displeased at the relatively solumn proceedings in the first entry in the series, but it's an appropriate shift in tone as Christopher Walken is a considerably more thoughtful and quiet actor than Wolfcastle has ever been.

Also, anyone who buys this and is disappointed...well, they should have known better than to buy it!

Christopher Walken. What a guy. There's few actors quite as instantly recongnisable as Walken with his jolted speech and often spoofed acting. The man's a living legend! He is also the reason why McBain sticks out above the slurry of action films from the early 1990s. The film itself is nothing too unique or original in the action genre - the characters and the plot are average for this genre and so's the high body count. But this is by no means a bad thing. A film typical of it's genre is just what the doctor ordered for any action fan out there. Christopher Walken is just the icing on the cake.

Overall whilst offering nothing particularly new to the action genre, it really doesn't matter. Walken is as great as ever, the film delivers on the action front with a high, brutal body count (which is to be expected from the director of the classic THE EXTERMINATOR). Add a great DVD packaging - complete with booklet about the film and reversible artwork - and this is the perfect gift for any self-confessed action-obsessed film fan.

The type of film you're liking to see in a special offer around Father's Day. Get it for The Walken!

2.0 out of 5 stars McLame 30 Jun 2010
Format:DVD
I can't believe a fine actor like Christopher Walken could lower himself to star in what is basically a bad episode of The A-Team.It didn't actually start out too bad but by the final third the film had hopelessly lost it's way.
A better story and support cast might have made more of a difference. How many Vietnam films are there already anyway?
