Bought this as did not want to pay McAfee's renewal price as even discounted it was twice what it cost to purchase new from Amazon. Put in the CD half expecting to have to do a re-install, the first pop up screen gives you the option of either a re-install or just using the Product Key (on the back of the CD case) to extend my subscription. Took less than a minute and added another year on to my existing subscription, including the 3 weeks I had left on it.

It is not the first time I install McAfee for a DVD. And I am thorough. Never the less it refused to be installed the first three times I tried. I almost gave up. Only the fourth time I succeeded. I quite often get a warning that my computer is in danger. Which it is not. I start to believe that it is a sort of sales promotion. It is like harassment. And at the same time I get reminders from my former subscription - that is has run out! There seems to be lack of communication between my new installation/subscription and the old one - or my "account". Now, this is a 3 users DVD, and my wife - who is brigt too! - had the same problems jusst today. Writing this, I get another false warning! Improvements would be welcomed.

Put the disc in my 32 bit Windows 7 PC let it load up, connect to the web and update. It's now sitting on my PC doing its job without me noticing it. That's all I wanted, no dramas, no hassles and at time of writing £15 for a 3 PC licence good value for money.
I didn't install the quick clean or parental controls so can't comment on them the rest seems fine.
PS it takes a age to do a full scan but that maybe because I have a large amount of storage on the machine.
