For cars and vans with petrol engines up to 1800cc (1.8 litres), this 6 amp, 12V battery charger protects against overloading, reverse polarity and short circuiting and has an easy to read ammeter that clearly shows the charging rate. Light and compact, it has a robust, ABS plastic case and integral handle and is easy to store. Battery clips are fully insulated and come with a 1.5m lead. For all low maintenance and maintenance-free 12V lead-acid batteries of 20-80Ah capacity only. Input 230V AC 50/60Hz 72 Watt. Output 12V 6A effective. For indoor use only. Suitable for car, motorcycle and leisure batteries.

Ordered this car Battery Charger to replace my old one .
Found it just right and a direct replacement for my old car battery charger . What is important that an Ampmeter is fitted which shows the electrical current flowing into the battery ,also indicates the battery charge level / by means of the the black marked out sections below the the ampmeter display . It is a good tool at reasonable cost with good clamping of the battery terminals .

Exactly as described. Good length of mains and battery cables with insulated crocodile clips. On/off switch on charger is a useful addition- very pleased with this product at a great price!

I needed to charge my Volkswagen Passat's battery this winter and I needed a fast charger. This one has a quick charge mode, a 4 level indicator (analog, basic), the leads are 1.5 meters and the cord is about 2 meters, and that's about it. It's simple, but does the job well, so if you don't want to spend a lot of cash, this is a good place to start.
