I think for the money, escpecially the Amazon price, this is very good value, general performance is good considering its size, but not suitable for beginers due to its querky control system. I found it quite painful to program and have now upgraded to a radio with direct frequency input, and I am now enjoying the experience much more. Great if size is very important, but NOT easy to use

This is a really good little radio for me as my intrests are just the air band both civil and military, and marine frequencies. It is easy to switch between bands just a single button to push. I use it mostly around Shoreham the marine traffic is quite busy and hardly a week goes past that Search And Rescue are not looking for some unfortunate person in trouble at sea, plus Shoreham has quite a bust airport on the coast. This is a really neat radio simple to use, pleanty of memory space to store interesting frequencies, and small enouigh to put in your pocket altoghter a very good radio at a reasonable price

I've had this product before but it broke due to a high fall. It is an amazing piece of equipment and with the capability to also listen to maritime frequencies it comes in handy at home and the airband at University.
