Following the departure of Dan many people assumed that this album wouldn't be as good as the bands previous two, Cutting Our Teeth, and Go Now And Live: this can't even be compared to the aforementioned albums. It is so much more mature, and you really feel the lyrics as Liam sings them. I absoultely love We Are The Ocean and feel all three albums are equally as good in their own way, but this has to be my favourite.
I attended the final night of their UK tour last night and they were as good as ever, with the new tracks sounding amazing! I was gutted they didn't play "Chin Up, Son" as it is one of my personal highlights of this album, however "The Road", "Bleed", and many others sounded even better than they do on the album.
I would highly recommend this to everyone! You can't narrow it down to a specific genre of music or really compare it to the others (in my mind anyway). And if you're thinking of going to see them live, Do not hesitate. Last night was my third time seeing them, and probably the best to be honest. I met all the band afterwards and they are all such lovely guys, so down to earth, happy to chat and even helped selling the merch after the show!
They deserve to be so much more successful than they already are so please support them, buy it off the back of listening to one song or off a recommendation, you won't be sorry :)
