3.0 out of 5 stars Good but not great!! 14 Aug 2011
By v
Format:Paperback
I love Jennifer Crusie but must admit to being a bit let down by this book as it took a long time to get moving and the story was fairly slow once she got to the house, did not find the children likable and wanted more interaction between the hero and heroine. Still has the great style of the author but lacking the humor that has been so apparent in past books like 'Agnes and the hit man', 'Don't look down' and 'Welcome to temptation'.

5.0 out of 5 stars Unusual love story... 7 Jan 2011
Format:Hardcover
If you're a fan of Jennifer Crusie then this book has the strengths of her previous books. A strong heroine, an attractive, likeable hero and the inevitable mix-up/lack of communication that led to their divorce 10 years previously. Now the hero North needs Andromeda's (love the name!) help with some children who he has become responsible for. It's a love story so I'm sure you can imagine the ending but the story itself is beautifully woven and full of well-rounded lively characters. The main reason I love the books by this author so much are because they are not just love stories. Sure, there's always a love story (or more than one!) happening throughout the book but there's always another thread in the book too. I think this makes Crusie a cut above a lot of the other romance authors out there today. And this element of this book is what makes this book special and different from the others I have read by her. This is a ghost story, and gets a little creepy in places. I couldn't put it down and now I've finished it, I wish I hadn't - and that's the mark of a great read!

It's been a few years since I read a Jennifer Crusie ,but in this story she has lost none of the old'touch'!.This is a very enjoyable(,if predictable ending) story and I found the characters to be mostly quite believable!a good book for a sleepless night.
