This well-priced UV filter/lens protector does a fine job of protecting my lens and doesn't seem to introduce any unwanted coloration into the finished photographs either.

If I had to choose between replacing an expensive lens or a cheap UV filter,it would have to be the 52 MM Filter. The filters are cheap and easy to install on any of the Nikon DX lens, for which they are designed. Best of all, they produce no visible deterioration on picture quality. A product I would definitely recommend. I have yet to see the results from using my camera on sunny days, after all its winter and I am in Scotland. however, I have been using my camera and 40mm lens for close up photography, using the flash. I am sure the quality of my pictures has improved, as a result of fitting the UV filter. The UV filters are slighly more expensive, than other filters I have seen. However, I have no complaints about the quality of the product.

As with the other reviewers, I recently purchased this for my Nikon D3100 and works exactly as intended - no changes to colouration and fits securely.

Is barely worth mentioning however the lens cap doesn't seem to fit quite as well as without it (we're talking by maybe 0.5mm). Only mentioned it as I can be quite a stickler for things looking "right". Still more than worth the cash if you don't fancy getting a Hoya.
