I have been disappointed in recent weeks with a different manufacturer's Canon G12 replacement battery, but this one from Maxim is the business. It has plenty of power and it holds its charge well. It's on a par with the one that came with the camera and might even be a little better. Just the job.

Bought it as a backup for the original battery and it does it's job very well (at a much smaller price than a Canon battery).

had ordered an extra battery before but it wouldn't charge.Tried a second time through Maxim with a more powerful 1500mAH and this did the trick.Very pleased with this product.1200 mAH was clearly not powerful enough for my camera,or battery was simply defective.

Not a lot to say, it's a battery, it goes in my Canon G12 and it works. I'll probably get a couple more.
