Revisit the mid nineties Euro Van Damme action flick with your ears. For the most part, this s/t maintains its sense of an eerie, stylish European flavoured thriller throughout, with the occasional exceptions where I'm sure i can hear a synthesised didgeridoo. During the film, these mismatches of sound are most likely masked by the frenetic action, but when listening to the s/t as a standalone, its all there in your face. And in the right setting, that's fine too. You just need to find that right setting. almost dinner party, but sometimes too frantic. Not quite for a workout, as it can be slow and calm. The track, Maximum Erotica is a cool one, as is the vocal track from the end credits. Overall, its a good album, but may be better suited to those of us Van Damme completists.
