The electrifying new novel in the bestselling Maximum Ride series

Product Description

Max Ride and her best friends have always had one another's backs. No matter what. Living on the edge as fugitives, they never had a choice. But now they're up against a mysterious and deadly force that's racing across the globe - and just when they need one another the most, Fang is gone. He's creating his own gang that will replace everyone - including Max.

Max is heartbroken over losing Fang, her soulmate, her closest friend. But with Dylan ready and willing to fight by her side, she can no longer deny that his incredible intensity draws her in.

Max, Dylan, and the rest of their friends must soon join with Fang and his new gang for an explosive showdown in Paris. It's unlike anything you've ever imagined . . . or read.

Growing up sucks! 18 Sep 2011
Format:Hardcover
Poor Max, growing up is tough.

With Fang gone, Max is stuck in a rut. Dylan is still with the flock
and with her best friend gone, she finds herself unwillingly drawn
to her genetically 'perfect' otehr half.

With Fang collecting his own flock, both gangs must meet up in an
axplosive (quite literally) battle against the 'doomsday' group, whose
motto is 'Kill the humans' Creepy right?

In Paris, all is about to go down.....

I've followed the Maximum Ride series since it started and well, it's generally accepted that only the first three were really any good and I've only really continued reading the rest because I refuse to give up on Fang and Max.
I was looking forward to Angel; I hoped maybe we'd finally get to see inside that twisted head of hers; have to say i'm disappointed. - This book is shorter, possibly one of the shortest, I read it in 2 hours easily. The story line although interesting, once again just seemed like it was building up to something in the future; I'm hoping the next (and possible last) book will be back to the brilliance of the first three; maybe one last long, good book where everything gets summed up, this one seemed half-finished. - All the cliffhangers that were left just seemed odd. Also it's not really 'Angels' book. I loved 'Fang' because we got to see more of...well...Fang. - We didn't in this...

Saying that, the story line is good. It's brief, it's shallow and Max still isn't her sarcastic-strong-self, but she's better than the last few books. - It's a good read if you love the flock; but it'll never be a great read.

I'm disappointed but still hooked and as ever there's still scenes where you wish you had giant wings and a talking, flying dog. And once more, your heart will break for Maximum Ride.

I'm pretty sure I've guessed where the final story line will take it. - I hope i'm right, because then maybe these last few books would have been worth it. - Maximum Ride deserves a happy ending, right?

Continuously fab 6 April 2011
By Becca A
Format:Audio CD
Came in good time and in good comdition. I loved listening to this audio, the suspense and excitment runs throughout the story. The only disappointment was I was prepared for this to be the last one in the series and for the large ending to come, but it never did! More cliff hangers and mysteries are still left to be told. I CANNOT wait for the next book.
