Maximo vs the Army of Zin is the long-awaited sequel to Capcom's 2002 PlayStation 2 classic, Maximo. The good news for fans of the original is that in Maximo 2 Capcom has improved on that experience in just about every way imaginable. As Maximo--the game's eponymous evil-ridding, polka-dotted-boxer-shorts-wearing hero--players take on the clockwork Army of Zin, whose sole intention is to wreak havoc in the game's villages and thereby send those villagers running wild with fright. Thank goodness, then, that Maximo is so well-equipped in his battle against the Army of Zin.
Armed, as he is, with many new attacking options, Maximo offers players more possibilities than he did previously: not only are there 30 attacking moves to learn, but new pairs of boxer shorts equip Maximo with special offensive powers. (Or perhaps that should just be downright offensive...) All of which makes Maximo Vs the Army of Zin a truly riotous adventure. The game builds on the platform action found in its predecessor: Maximo leaps and bounds his way through a medieval cartoon world that is riddled with the nasty clockwork Army of Zin. As his adventure progresses, Maximo is rewarded with thanks and gifts from those grateful villagers whom he is able to rescue--which makes the adventure a thoroughly satisfying one. In Maximo vs Army of Zin eight months have passed since the original game and Maximo and Grim have searched in vain for Sophie. Their search is interrupted then they are attacked by a strange clockwork monster. They soon realise it's being powered by the captured souls of the dead. Maximo's quest to uncover the secret of Zin takes him through crystal mountains and dead seas, making new alliances and terrifying new enemies along the way. Can this ancient evil be defeated? Who released it? Who gave Maximo the scar on his face? Will this saga have a happier ending than the last? Only time will tell...

Fun:
great game the story unfolds nicely the moves and weapons make for some intense moments not just hacking and slashing the environments are challenging but not overly so turning into grim is also helpful especially when you get locked in a church and all these spider robots come smashing through the windows phew! overall well worth a look

its a ok game,but anyone reading this,i will point out,if you keep doing the first level over an over,your find your gold will go higher,as your need alot of gold,when you go on in the game.but

Maximo vs Army of Zin looks to be an interesting game with a few new ideas like armour. Armour is much like health in other games but you can see whats happening to it for example full armour will see our hero striding around in gold armour, but when knocked down he'll be reduced to his undies. The enemies you have to face are mainly bizzare metal skeletons which you have to deal with with your average array of attacks.
