I brought this item as my little boy gets so hot and sweetty in his car seat. This cover stopped him sweetting but still gets a little hot but it doesnt seem to bother him.

Quite expensive, and it's not really appropriate for summer. The result is like putting a towel between the chair and the kid: it gets quite hot and the kid sweats a lot. It also makes difficult to adjust chair straps, since it covers the full chair.
After all, it's just better to put a sheet or other light cloth, it's much better than this cover, and a lot cheaper.
