I didn't purchase this from Amazon but am suitably peeved to feel the need to review it here anyway. Note, our pushchair was bought September last year.

This unit has many plus points, such as how compact it is when it folds up, and there are enough frame settings to suit a range of seat positions and wheel & suspension set-ups. We have a Fiesta and the loadspace is quite tight but the Loola folds down well to fit in easily. Generally it's comfortable to wheel around and the single top bar really helps to lever it about, although it can feel a little heavy sometimes when pushed at low speeds and trying to manouevre around shopping aisleways. Once you get the hang of the folding mechanism it's fairly easy to jack it up and down.

The major -- and I stress MAJOR -- negative point is the length of the harness. When we started using it for the first time we were barely able to get our son buckled in. He was 4.5 lbs at birth so not a big baby. I contacted Dorel customer services and they sent out a free replacement harness, but it was perhaps 2 inches longer in the shoulder straps at most. Baby is now 13 lbs and it won't be long before the shoulder straps are too tight. I phoned Dorel again to ask if they had a longer harness but was advised they don't.

We have a MaxiCosi CabrioFix baby carseat (which needs seperately purchased adaptors to fit the Loola chassis, something that wasn't clear before we bought the two items) and this has a significantly longer harness on it than the Loola pushchair so this company obviously knows how to do long harnesses. It seems odd that a baby seat, which will be redundant after 12 months, has a longer harness length than the pushchair which is supposed to be good up to at least 2 yrs age.

All in all it's a real shame the harness lets this pushchair down because had it not been for this problem it would probably have merited 5 stars rather than 2. I strongly advise that you check the harness length of any product before you buy. We wrongly assumed whatever we bought would come with a harness of suitable length.

I didn't purchase my pushcahir through Amazon (and it's choco mint, not red!) but i thought it might be helpful to review it. I opted for the Loola Up as I didn't know what car I was going to buy and it is very compact when folded, although I would say it's easier to deal with in the rain when you separate the pushchair from the chassis to dump it in the boot! When my little girl was tiny the chassis formed a fantastic travel system when combined with the Creatis Fix car seat. When she was a bit bigger the pushchair was really comfortable, and the cosy toes is brilliant for the winter. The things that irritated me were the hood - it's as if the elastic was stretched, it should sit in around the lever for adjusting the seating position but more often than not it just looked messy and "bumfled"! I understand what some people have said about the rear wheels splaying when you pull the pram back but it never presented me with any problems. Also, I had read reviews a while back saying it was really hard to get up kerbs - I don't think it is particularly, and we have some really high ones where we live! The harness was an issue, yes, I had to contact the manufacturer for an extension, which is fine for the summer months but come the chilly weather & bulky clothes it would be quite tight on an older child. I can only assume they have rectified this problem by now. Also, maybe worth mentioning that i went for the Loola Up rather than the Loola as I had read that the bar handle made it easier to push with one hand. At first I thought this seemed a bit daft but it is amazing how many times you are left trying to do things with one hand when you have a baby and shopping etc. With hindsight, now that the pram is in the loft, would I buy the pram again? Probably not. I know people who had the Streety, it's more buggy-like and therefore probably better for longterm use. I'm now onto a cheap Baby GoGo buggy which is small, lightweight, and ideal for my little girl who is a great walker so is in and out of it all the time. If you plan to do lots of walking then I have friends who swear by their Quinny Buzz or I-Candy apple but these days it comes down to price more often than not!
