Brilliant for wriggly babies!,
This review is from: Maxi-Cosi Axiss Forward Facing Group 1 Car Seat (Black Reflection) (Baby Product)
I can't rate this car seat enough. It raises & rotates so you don't have to do any bending or twisting. When it's raised the baby can see quite nicely out of the window too.It retails in the shops at £210 so £170 is a bargain. I did lots of research and couldn't find Maxi Cosi Axiss any cheaper than this, although Bebe Confort (from same company) has an older version out on the market which I've seen for £160, but it's still £210 in shops.
Getting my 8 month old into his buggy/carseat is a real challenge, as he's quite a wriggly baby, but I don't have this problem anymore with this carseat. I found it a little tricky to set up in the car, but I am pretty useless with things like this so someone else might find it easier! The seat is suitable up until the age of 4, so it's definately one of my better buys!

Make life easier for yourself and the nipper!,

Whilst not exactly cheap, this chair is well worth the money. The seat is relly solidly made and secures firmly to the car seat using the seat belt. The twisting mechanism works so well. It's really easy to operate making it so much easier to get our daughter in and out of the car, but at the same time giving a re-assuringly solid 'clunk' when the seat is spun into position. The tilting mechanism works well - as the manufacturer states, this can be done with the child in the seat. The straps work better than the 'from birth' maxi-cosi seat we have used to date, being easier to operate and avoiding the need for any brut force.
Oh, and by the way, our daughter loves it too!

This is a great seat. We got the Bebe Confort Axiss seat a couple of years ago for Number One Child and we have benefited for the last year.
It is easy to fit although some of you will need to check that your car is suitable since the seatbelt plastic casing must not touch the base which I know some do and the base is quite deep so those with narrow back seats, this won't be for you. The design is great and all the "back" and "wriggly" kid comments are applicable. Comparing the new Maxi Cosi to the old Bebe Confort design... well, it's okay. The reclining button seems a bit flimsy and the first depression made it stick. Hope it lasts! Not overly happy with the straps although I hope they will soft with use. Basically, this seat is great and getting a child in and out of your car will be way easier than seeing those parents struggle especially in the smaller bay car parking we now have to suffer. BUT check that it will fit into your car. If you can't afford and you see a "cheap" old Bebe Confort without any bad history, buy it.... I think they have slightly better quality materials used. Hope this helps!
