I thought I would post a review on here so that people don't get confused by other reviews.

A few people here seem to think this wireless adapter is in someway faster than the official XBOX one, and basically its not. This is a 802.11B/G adapter, and the Microsoft one is 802.11A/B/G which means it's just as fast but also has support for 802.11A. 802.11A is the same speed as G, but doesn't suffer any where near as much interference as G, and is the recommended frequency for streaming music and video.

There is a reason it's cheaper and that's because it has less features, more difficult to configure, and cheaper technology. For the difference in price it's really not worth the saving compared to the official one.

Saying all that, if you don't mind the extra setup time, aren't gonna stream video, and want the extra tenner in your pocket, then it's not a bad alternative. I just wanted to make sure peoples decisions are based on fact and not misunderstandings.

When i saw this i thought great!, cheaper yet faster than the offical wireless bridge...but was ahell ofa hassle. after following the instructions which are quite well explained i found the configure page didnt load. i tryed lots of things including ringing the help line but no one picked up, eventully i thought it might be internet explorer 7 so i used a pc with an older version of internet explorer and finally the config page worked after that just entered my wireless connection details in saved it set up the ip on the xbox and it works.

The receiver is very good though a bit fiddly to setup. You must have a PC with an ethernet connection in order to set it up. Don't call the support line which is £1 per minute. Also read the instructions carefully if you do this you will have it working quite quickly.

Once setup it works brilliantly the signal is strong and it supports 8.11g which is faster and has a better range than the Microsoft wireless adapter making it a better buy.

It also attaches nice and neatly to your XBox and works through the ethernet port.

I would have no problem recommending this.
