I'm using a Windows XP laptop on which the network card had broken.
I thought, rather than spending £s on having it repaired, I'd replace it with an external solution. I loked into the USB-to-Ethernet plugs, but they looked too cheap and I wanted something a little more robust.
So I chose this adapter, which turns out to have been a very good choice indeed. I received the adapter, installed the drivers from the CD, plugged it in - and it just works.
The adapter is relatively sturdy, looks finished, and is really really easy to use. It's not given me any troubles at all since I installed it a few weeks back, and compared to what some of the other adapters cost, this is definitely not cheaper because it's worse - in fact, it's really good.
I can't tell whether it works on any other systems, but I recommend it highly to anyone using WinXP.

i got this adapter as i was setting up wirless network, but the problem was my desktop didnt have a ethernet port so my modem was connected by usb. got this nifty thing and it worked like a treat with my netgear router that i jus bought previous. i can run both my computers runnin on the internet, have xbox live on the go and nintendo ds using wi-fi all at the same time. cant grumble at that, a tenner to fix a large problem with a simple converter like that, when some retailers are tryin to flog somethin exactly the same for double the price. good purchase

I am writing my 1st review on Amazon for this ethernet adapter.Purchased it about a month ago and it is working a treat for me. Just connected it up to my Wii, set the internet options on the Wii and away I went. It offers a fast and reliable connection to Wii online play and hasn't let me down once. Would recommend this to anyone looking for a wired internet connection fo their Wii.

Cheap USB to RJ45 Adaptor Ideal For Laptops
We use this adaptor when the internal RJ45 adaptor has been damaged in a laptop. It is a good cheap alternative and saves repairing the laptop connector.
