Having read various reviews on various wifi cards ranging from very cheap ones to big name, big price cards it looked like whatever I bought was going to be a 50-50 chance of working beautifully or not at all. So I went for cheap and this one had several good reviews so I bought it.
Plugged straight in, installed straight away using the supplied CD. Within 5 minutes my network was up and running. Very good signal reception and so far no problems. So if like me you have doubts having read countless reviews go for this one, for me if I'd spent 5 x the price (which I could easily do) it wouldn't be any simpler or better. If it helps you decide I'm running XP Pro on an old dell latitude and my router is a BT branded e-wire device.

If you are buying this for windows 98 or ME STOP!!!
Unfortunately despite the advert and some of the other reviews declaring this has drivers for Windows 98 and windows ME it DOES NOT!. There are windows 98 drivers on the disk but for A DIFFERENT PRODUCT. You cannot get the right drivers from the web either.

Luckily I could upgrade my old laptop to XP. The product does what it says with XP and does it well, but is just something for the bin if you have 98 or ME.

This is a great PCMCI wireless card, which performed really well. Just as good as most more expensive cards. THe only grumble I have is with the supplied software.... the install instructions suggest using the supplied software (rather than Windows) to control your wireless set-up. Though in my experience the supplied software just hogs processor time. Though reverting back to Windows control solved the problem.
