Product Description

Manufacturer's Description

Join Max and Marie and shop till you drop!

Max is visiting Auntie Lisa and his cheeky cousin Marie in Veryfaraway, a very big town indeed: you need to take a bus to get around. Auntie Lisa is planning a mega-party, but she still needs some things from town. Discover roaring parcels, elephant slides, and market places while helping Max and Marie buy all the things on the shopping list. Tulips, ice cream, bananas, false noses - what else do you need for a perfect party? Detailed watercolour illustrations by Barbara Landbeck.

4.0 out of 5 stars Marvellous Max, 10 Oct 2001

Max and Marie go Shopping is a hit in our household of Matthew 5 and Elizabeth 3. You start by choosing your shopping basket and if your play is interrupted, you can return to where you left off by selecting the same basket the next time around. There is plenty to explore in each scene and the max symbol which shows the position of the mouse changes into a hand when it passes over something clickable.

When the child chooses to go through a shop door or go on the bus they are offered a clear choice of cancelling their action or moving on.

This CD Rom has plenty of options for young children and nice animation, I would recommend it for children of 3 and up.
