What can I say? Max Factor's new Whipped Crème Foundation is just sublime for those of us with dryer skin. It's so light and silky to apply, so blending is easy. Once blended, the results are a smooth satin finish, with medium coverage (it can provide fuller coverage with layering).

I've found it to be transfer resistant, another plus. I've worn with a primer, without one, with powder and alone; It is long lasting and gives a natural, un-cakey look any way I wear it. Finally; This hasn't oxidized on me. I've tried a few different Max Factor foundations and loved them at first, but there always came a point when I'd catch my reflection and be horrified by the Jersey Shore reject looking back at me.

You don't seem to get a lot of product compared to other brands, but you don't need to thickly gloop the product on, so it'll last for quite a while with almost daily use, so I'm not complaining. The only other issue I had is that the foundation applies a bit lighter in shade than it looks in the container. Nothing too drastic, but bare that in mind when purchasing.

Colour Name: 45 Warm Almond Vine Customer Review of Free Product ( What's this? )
I got the "Max Factor Whipped Creme Foundation 75 Golden" Max Factor Whipped Creme Foundation 75 Golden for my wife and she really liked it. So, spurred on by this success I got this lighter one for my (adult) daughter, and the following are her thoughts on it:

A bit of background: I am pale skinned, no yellow/pink undertones, but prone to dark circles, blemishes and redness. I also have very dry and sensitive skin and an occasionally slightly oily forehead. I have tried a lot of different brands of foundation from the cheap chemist brands to most of the premium lines (having worked in a beauty hall, you play with a lot of products!). My preference is for a light, buildable coverage with a semi-matte finish that doesn't dry out. I never refresh make up during the day so I look for products that will last approximately 12 hours.

Over the years I have only come to really like 2 brands for foundation: Laura Mercier and Bare Minerals. With Laura Mercier, the coverage is excellent and light, however the foundation is slightly too heavy for my liking these days. The tinted moisturiser on the other hand gives good coverage whilst still being light, but not to a foundation finish. I find that both really need to be used with the hydrating primer - the combination gives great results, but costs about £70 in total. Bare Minerals gives a fantastic finish but being a powder I find it very difficult to use in winter as my already very dry skin gets drier in the cold weather, so it can only really last me a few hours. This is about £25.

Bearing all of that in mind, I didn't expect much at all from this foundation.

Colour Name: 50 Natural Vine Customer Review of Free Product ( What's this? )
This Max Factor Whipped Creme Foundation in 50 Natural colour is just that; a very natural colour. I am quite pale and it was just right on me and blended seamlessly into the neck area.

It is quite a small pot which contains 18ml of Foundation. It is not perfumed.

I found it very easy to apply, having previously applied Olay essentials Nourishing Beuty Fluid for normal/dry/combination skin.

I applied the Max Factor Whipped Creme Foundation with my fingers. It gave a good smooth coverage without being heavy. The look it gave was very natural and felt lovely and dewy. A little goes a long way and it did not clog or collect in the lines and wrinkles. There was no drying out of the skin and it really felt very comfortable. As the day wore on, I think the make-up did sink in a little, but it still looked good. I am in the older category (unfortunately) and felt that this make-up did not look overdone, but was nicely natural and quite flattering to the older woman. It would be good for anyone who did want to look overly made up.

I can really recommend this product.

Colour Name: 55 Beige Vine Customer Review of Free Product ( What's this? )
I have extremely pale skin and struggle to find the right shade to suit me. I'm afraid that this wasn't it - my face was a noticeably different colour to my neck! (Although testing foundation in the shop is really the only way to ensure this, I feel the manufacturers could have included more information on the Amazon product page to help customers pick the right shade. I'm not familiar with the Max Factor numbering system and wasn't sure whether 'Natural' or 'Beige' was intended to be lighter. Given my experience with this product, I think 'Natural' would have suited me better.) However, for those with less pale skin, I think this would be a good foundation. The 'whipped creme' formula delivers what it promises and it blends easily into the skin, leaving a light, matte and non-oily finish. The foundation doesn't seem to cake easily, even after you have worn it for a while, and subtly corrects redness in your skin tone, especially if worn under powder. If you make sure to find the right shade for you, I would recommend this product.
