DVD Description

The Max & Paddy's Box Set includes the complete series of Peter Kay and Patrick McGuinness' multi-award winning comedy "Road to Nowhere", plus their hilarious full fitness programme, "The Power of Two". To add even more comedy to the double DVD mix, the Max & Paddy's Box Set also contains surprise guest commentaries and a range of extra Max & Paddy treats, including: trailers; a special gallery of images; the Max & Paddy's soundtrack; and previously unseen deleted scenes and out-takes.

Max & Paddy's "Road to Nowhere":
Max & Paddy's "Road to Nowhere" is the much-loved sequel to Peter Kay's critically-acclaimed comedy series, "Phoenix Nights". Written by and starring Peter Kay and Patrick McGuinness, this six-part comedy/drama series is the story of clueless Phoenix Club bouncers Max (Kay) and Paddy (McGuinness), as they escape clubland in their prized motor-home and take to the open highway.

Max & Paddy's "The Power of Two":
In "The Power of Two" Max & Paddy decide to venture into the lucrative world of the fitness videos. Their full fitness programme--which truly is an extraordinary workout for ordinary people--even includes a special guest appearance from the "Phoenix Nights" character Brian Potter. With Max's strict army training and Paddy's intricate knowledge of (and limited experience with) sex-ercise, "The Power of Two" will leave viewers aching... both from the exercise and the laughter! What else could anyone possibly need to get into shape?

Road to Nowhere 28 July 2008
Format:DVD
This series contains one of my favourite ever scenes in any comedy. The scene where Max and Paddy are stealing the plasma TV from Dixons dressed as 2 ambulance men, only to find when they get back to their mobile home that they haven't got the speakers is, for me, nothing short of sheer genius. Some people say it's weaker than Pheonix Nights, but to me it's every bit as good. There's plenty of extras and, as for the fitness DVD, well, let's just say that my gym workouts haven't been the same since, nor will they ever be again! Anyone who buys this will see what I mean.

For me this is the greatest series of all time. Peter Kay is a genius. The only thing you will find disapointing about this dvd is the lack of a second series.

This was so funny me and my brother was rolling around on the floor in tears of laughter!!

Max and Paddy
Again another piece of comedic genius from these guys - spin off from Phoenix Nights (class of it's own) and the adventures of 2 ex Bouncers travelling round in a camper van. Read more

Max and Padyy's box set
The first dvd of the road to no-where was very funny but found the second video the power of two very boring, Not Peter Kay's best work. Not impressed.

A weak follow on from Phoenix Nights, but all Kay all the Way!
Typical Peter Kay humour, simple and often very funny. Though once you have seen Pheonix Nights, this series is definitely weaker in comedy and content.
