This programme is extremely good and having experienced, in various places, different versions of this programme, this one is the easiest to navigate and use. I am an experienced typist, but Mavis Beacon is great to increase your speed and minimise any inacuracies that you can so easily make, without realising it when you are using a computer. Since purchasing this product my husband has learned to type with very few errors.

The program is very good, until the screen freezes and then it is useless. Don't bother with the answer shown in the FAQ's, it doesn't work. I am now awaiting a reply from GSP. Is it just V12 or does it apply to all versions?

It's a typing program. It does what is says on the box. At least this would be true if it didn't crash after completing lessons. I tried this on a couple of my PCs; one running win 98se and the other with XP - and it crashes on both! I'm not alone in experiencing this problem (Don't take my work for it, go and see yourself!!) and as there's no fixes from the website I seem to be stuck with it. Still, while the program works it's not bad at all, it even managed to tempt more than two of my fingers onto the keyboard!

Do not buy. FREEZING!!!
The main problem with this software is that it freezes towards the end of the beginner level, and it is not possible to get any further. Read more

who types faster than ever?
Mel from Brampton UK's review reads like advertising copy. Does Mel work for Mavis? And guarantee is spelled with an A (not "guarentee"), pitfall has two L's.

Doesn't work with network drives
