For those who know what I mean, the tiles appear to be protile copies, same size and shape but of a lighter feeling plastic. Even if you don't know what protiles are you'll soon discover that the tiles are smaller than the spaces on the board, so you end up with a very scruffy looking game as it's difficult to keep the words aligned neatly. I also have a small aesthetic gripe as the lime green used for the double word spaces is garish at best, and clashes hideously with the pinks and purples of the rest of the board and tiles. Overall, very satisfied with the product, at a reasonable price too.
