If you played the first Barbie game and got frustrated, then do not despair: the navigation and controls in the new version are easier. They are still far from perfect, however, and little ones may get frustrated as they bump their way around the beach and hotel obstacles and fall off the edge of the screen. But though the five- and six-year-olds may need more help than older Barbie fans, their experience in the pink world will aid mouse control and keyboard familiarity, as well as starting to develop logic and strategy skills, and elementary gameplay.
The great graphics and fun sound effects add to the overall atmosphere and the multi-player option means friends can get in on the act. And as if that weren't enough fun for one day, there's also a print function allowing youngsters to produce postcards to record their exciting adventures.
