"Tumblin' Monkeys" was a gift for 2 of my granddaughters (5 & 7). Their mum asked for it. The children had played with it before in their Kindergarten in Sweden. It was an immediate success.
You see the expression on the boy's face, the glee on the girls' (in the advert), that's what you get. The game is about collecting the least number of monkeys that fall through the hollow plastic palm tree. But if you're 3-4 years of age you can change the rules so that the one with most monkeys wins (the older child will disagree, but if you're a parent you'll be conversant with this power-play).
I've later seen a variety of games built on the same principle. Mine cost more. Is it better? I can't say. Cheaper often means poorer quality materials. Brittle plastic will break easier (but this is surmising = I don't know).
If you have kids that squabble over everything, and your nerves stretch to screaming pitch, then this game may give you 10-15 minutes respite; if not, there's always tamazepam (for you!).

We gave Tumblin' Monkeys to our Grandkids for Christmas. They went nuts for it, it was so much fun. The monkeys are cute and the way they catch and swing around on the sticks is often hilaious. Even Grandpa got hooked on this game! I highly recommend it.

My 3 year old daughter cant get enough of this game! She helps me set it up by putting the colorful sticks into the slots (promoting color recognition & fine motor skills), than she helps me put the monkeys through the top and then we have a blast playing the game! It teaches and reinforces turn taking, counting, colors as well as the things Ive mentioned above. It also gives us some mommy and me time :) Great game!

my 4 and 7 yr old enjoy playing this game. they can set it up and put it away by themselves. they're careful to pay attention as the game goes along. this is a nice quiet game that is great for 2 or 3 players to teach taking turns and concentrating.
