Each of the twelve tracks is blessed with sublime, catchy guitar riffs, perfect uptempo beats, and unforgettable choruses.
This album is the least comedic in the band's career (the humour is more subtle on the likes of 'Let's Burn' and 'Easter Bank Holiday '83'), but the album's so musically accomplished that too much comedy would have ruined it anyway.
From the opening melodies (yes, melodies!!) of September Part 1' it's clear that here is a band with a great tight rythm section, truly talented guitarist and a knack for penning tunes you'll want to keep going back to. The production is superb too, making it hard to believe this album's almost 20 years old.
You want classics? This album is full of'em: 'The Jinx', 'Blown Out Again', 'Never made It' ... they're all here, and as great as 'The Singles Collection' is, they make much more sense when heard in their original environment.
This album is punchy, powerful, melodic abd catchy. It's hard enough to please the more 'hardcore' minded, yet is chock-ful of tuneful riffs and clever musical ideas that will please anyone with an ear for a more melodic variation of Oi!
It's got it all - humour, top songs, a great title ... this was the band's debut album (Pissed & Proud came first, but that was a live album) and is easily the best thing they've ever done - so far!!
