Matias Dalsgaard has a background in Comparative literature and a PhD and Post Doc degree in Philosophy. He has worked as an associate at the management consultancy McKinsey & Company. Today, he is the founder and CEO of a successful Danish start-up company - GoMore, which focuses on online car-sharing concepts. He has always been drawn towards philosophy and theology - and the church and the arts. In particular he enjoys studying the great thinkers, preachers and psychologists of Christianity - Paulus, Augustine, Luther, and Kierkegaard.
His book "Don't Despair" represents two sides of Dalsgaard's life that might never be fully reconciled: the side of Christian-existential seriousness and the side of business, consumption and infinite earthly ambitions. When not pondering about the deeper meaning of life, Matias enjoys going out, doing sports and has a penchant for disco music. He used to play the violin but prefers to listen to other people play these days.
