Contrary to the negative review from Humphrey, this book is in fact clear, proficient, and full of thorough explanations. As evidence, the writers have several generations of successful students who have gainfully learnt their subject from their excellent set of A level Mathematics texts.
The reviewer seems to have found the subject difficult and is blaming the book. Mechanics is a tricky subject - it is not simply about manipulating symbols and using a calculator - essentially it is about learning the art of modellig physical situations using mathematical language. This takes patience and perseverence. The authors show how to do it.
