We use these books at college for the purpose of answering the quetions in the exercises, although we take a slightly different route as far as learning is concerned. The overall presentation is good; each chapter is colour coded so it's easy to know where you are in the grand scheme of things. There are a few mistakes in the answers section which is to be expected since there are literally hundreds of questions in it.
I also found that these books are good for revision purposes since the content is summarised nicely at the end of each chapter and the last questions of each exercise are 'exam style' to get you prepared for the worst! I would recommend buying this book if you wish to revise from it, however if you are at college the mathematics department should have given you a similar book to this for your lessons (assuming you are on edexcel).
