Fantastic! All you need before GCSE Mathematics. As a private tutor I have used this book with several pupils in order to cover all the material needed before starting GCSE. Parents have commented that the explanations are clear enabling them to understand and help their children. This is the ONLY book you need for this level of study.

In the last three years I have gone back to the classroom to brush up on my basic maths skills as I didn't want to let my son's down when they started asking how to do certain maths problems. With the help of this wonderful book it has guided me through the different levels needed to pass my City and Guilds 2 and 3 exams with distinction's. The book will now be passed down to my son's as it covers all topics needed up to GCSE level. I would definately recommend this to anyone going back to the classroom who needs an easy to follow text book.

The basic skills 25 Dec 2009
By C. Eden
Format:Paperback
I found this book as a 2nd year nursing student very usefull, my only dig would be it looks very outdated, but the theories are still relevant. The book is very basic so it is useful for people who struggle with maths as it teaches you methods step by step.
