My boys (7 and 4) loved this book. It made a great math lesson for the day. We got out our play money, and they drew pictures of the candy to help them figure out the problems. Lots of fun!

5.0 out of 5 stars Good book 16 Feb. 2014

Good for young readers, but the math is very simple. 10+10+10 and 2+2. Chapters are very short, too. Read to kindergarten class.

Math Candy, 7 sweet stories for early readers by Amanda Trane
Few illustrations: Danny had carried around 3 dimes all day at school and was looking
forward to spending them at the candy store after school.
One of his friends tells him that will not be enough.
The teacher said it would be enough to buy candy.
They are able to sort the candy by color and decide what they want to get.
