More About the Author

Cathy Hopkins lives in Bath with her husband and three cats.

She has had over 60 books published so far and principally writes for the teenage market where her books have been translated into 34 languages. Her five teen series to date are: the Mates Dates series, the Truth Dare series, the Cinnamon Girl series, the Zodiac Girl series and Million Dollar Mates. Cathy has also written standalone novels for teens: Dead Dudes, Love At Second Sight and Playlist for a Broken Heart plus The Cat Whiskerer which is a book for cat lovers of all ages. In January 2015, A Home for Shimmer will be published for younger teens.

In her spare time, Cathy loves nothing more than a long walk and pub lunch in the countryside with friends. She loves reading books from all types of genres. When it's raining, she likes watching great box sets like The Killing (Danish version), Nurse Jackie, West Wing, The Wire or Mad Men. Apart from that, Cathy has always been curious about the answers to the big questions like why are we here, where have we come from and where do we go. Not having found a satisfactory answer yet, she is going to take up painting instead. She is also still looking for the perfect hairdresser who can do a blow dry that lasts through damp weather and doesn't make her hair go fluffy.

After ending her relationship with Tony, Lucy feels she needs something new in her life. A change. The school trip to Florence seems like the perfect escape for Lucy, especially as her three best mates will also be on the trip. While in Florence, she's attracted to another boy, but is it him, Tony or neither that she feels the happiest with?

This was a good book. I chose 4 stars (not 5) because I found it was very rude at the beginning between Tony and Lucy. 12+ is the age I would recommend it to. There are a few new characters in this book.

This book is about a girl named Lucy who is having a tough time, like every other teenager! She goes on a school trip and meets the boy of her dreams, but that doesn't exactly mean it will be easy to go out with him!
