I wanted a book to help with reading the game / match analysis, as detailed in the Level 3 course. The book does cover this, but in a more anecdotal style, by looking at what a match means to 5 different people involved in football in different areas. For example a first team manager, a first team coach, a reserve team coach and a youth team coach.
If you make time to read the book there are some interesting points and 'off the ball' depth, but you will need a note book and several large coffees.
The font style is a bit uncomfortable too.

This is a great book about, as the title promises, match analysis and game preparation in soccer. It's written by Dutch trainers and the first part is written by Foppe de Haan who had a tremendous succes with Herenveen as a head coach from 1992-2004.You get a match analysis by Jan Rab from World cup 98 and you also get a information of what the Dutch Royal Dutch Football Association think is important to put emphasis on when doing match analysis of opponents. But the best with the book is that it has no disturbing purposeless verbosity and it's written from the heart with practical tips from the authors own experience.
