I've been looking for a decent egg poacher for years and have always been disappointed, but this beats them all - and every other bad purchase I have ever made, like a "garden groom" that doesn't cut the hedge.
I have tried it twice as I felt I had to give it another chance - never again.
As my husband warned me would happen, the white just pours out through the holes. I had argued before, that nobody would be stupid enough to market something without testing it first, but this is the only explanation.
That isn't the only problem: the egg that streams through the holes gets overcooked while the egg left in the poacher takes ages to cook.
It's impossible to get out because it is locked into the holes and sticks to the (well-greased) silicone cups.
When you do manage to get some egg out, it is (of course)swimming in water.
I tried fishing out the wasted white that was floating around with a slotted spoon but the eggs were getting cold and it was wet and horrid so not worth the bother.
It's a huge bother to wash as one has to dig the white out the holes, and really scrub the cups, the stand, the slotted spoon, the knife for digging out and the saucepan because so much white has spread and baked everywhere.
Do I recommend this item? not even for your worst enemy!...welll perhaps.....

It must have been a man who designed this poacher. It's unbelievable that this thing is marketed by anyone. I'll never buy another Mastrad product and perhaps Amazon shouldn't have it for sale.
