Fun:
I bought this game for my PC a couple of months ago and must say it's the most fun ive had playing a game for years.
The graphics and sounds are very good I think, but that's certainly not the best part, the gameplay is outstanding.
When the game starts you are Tommy a regular cab driver and you begin by picking up passengers and dropping them off where they request, until that is by chance you end up picking up two mafia guys who are fleeing from some rival gangsters.
If you help them escape, the don then takes a shine to you and eventually you start helping him out with small favours, like breaking into cars etc, this then escalates as your prove yourself to the family by handing out beatings, carrying out hits, planting bombs in hotel rooms etc whilst working yourself up to being a "made guy".
The missions are extremely varied and each one is great fun. The difficulty level is just about right as well I found, some missions will definitely take you more than one attempt.
The game also runs like a true gangster film, with regular movie style clips before and after most missions(its like a pc film on par with Goodfella's), you find yourself engrossed in the plot.
I cannot fault this game at all, and if you like gangster movies you will love it.

For me, this is one of the greatest computer games made and still stands the test of time today.
It can be a bit slow to start off with but you soon become immersed in the City of Lost Heaven and get to know your way around the map.
It is a linear storyline rather than free-roaming like GTA. However, it works a treat and the storyline is second to none when it comes to gaming. You really get to know and feel for the characters.
Some fantastic background music to fit the 1930s, good cars and weapons and good locations. The shoot-em ups are generally very good as are the cut-scenes.
Pretty tough game but well worth sticking with, probably worth printing a walkthrough to put by your side for certain missions, (the race track one in particular). Buy and enjoy!

Fun:
This is a brilliant game, absolutley amazing scenes missions and graphics!
Overall there is 20 missions set in the 1930s era You are a Taxi Driver aka "Tommy Angelo" who later becomes A MAFIA Mobster! Each Mission isn't easy sailings, so don't expect to get through by using 1 life! After each mission is complete certain cars are unlocked and freeplays + bonus extras! Each mission is varied around the city, in the country, farm houses, shipping port,onboard a ferry, bank heists, whore houses, churches, hotels, assasinations, car stealing etc... there's even a car racing mission(yes you actual take part in a race) and you gottta get 1st place....2nd or 3rd is not good enough..it took me 10 attempts to get 1st place! I give this game 10/10 and the price i paid for it puts other gangster games to shame..by far!! The only con is the infrequency of game saves, so when you are near the end of a mission and you get killed you gotta go back to the beginning (which is very frustrating) this is the only down side!
If you like MAFIA - you will love this -BUY it you wont be disappointed!!
