Fun:
Commandos! Uprated and patched up to work on Vista. Fantastic!
Each of these games, especially the first two (plus the first one's expansion) are simply brilliant. Rock, diamond-solid hard, and occasionally frustrating, but a group of magnificent action RTS's, indeed some of the best games ever released on PC, bunched into one easy to install package.
They've aged surprisingly well. It's not going to charm you looks-wise, but for games up to 12 years old, it certainly does the job. I would describe the graphics as functional. The gameplay is tense, levels are designed immaculately and it gives a wonderfully British representation of war, rather than the rubbish served up by Call of Duty and Medal of Honour, etc. Each of the characters skills are well assigned, and are even voice-acted fairly well. Surprising, given the age of the titles.
Bear with it, and watch the tutorials. This game will test your strategic gaming mind to the limit. However, you will have a blast along the way. You will need to give the game at least two hours however just to begin to feel used to the control setup. Not for the faint hearted, but for those up for a seriously entertaining challenge. For any fans of war films too, this is a must. Everything from The Guns of Navarrone, to the Bridge over the River Kwai is covered.
+ Great, tense gameplay, realism, works on almost any PC from the last 5 years, at a push 10. Patched up for vista. Decent sound. Fantastic value. Challenging, long lasting gameplay
- Can be downloaded cheaper (legally I mean), perhaps showing a little age. Some may be put off by the challenge. Really needs a usb mouse if played on a laptop.

My husband was really delighted with this game, it was the first game on his new PC - he had played it in the past and was amazed to see it still available -is having hours of fun

This game is very nice, but the product looks like a bulk DVD, no label stamped on it. At least you have updates for it!

complete letdown
I was so disappointed with this product. The poor graphics and scale were so sad compared with the images and world of the original games I played when they first came out. Sad!

DO NOT BUY THIS!
Having owned, played, loved, and lent out several of the originals contained herein, i was looking forward to getting to grips with the commando series once more. Read more

Brilliant!!!
This is a fantanstic buy. Great fun, many hours of play. Highly recomment to anyone who has not got it yet!
